Michelle and Mark are a charming couple who live in the Portland,
Oregon area with their cat Mr. Squeeeks. Aside from an irritating
penchant for writing about themselves in the third person, they
moderately interesting people who wouldn’t be too bad to have
as friends . They are hoping to convince their families that it is not
a weird or wacky idea to have a blog the whole family can collaborate
on.
Michelle is a network administrator who likes to read, knit and/or
belly dance in her spare time. Not at the same time, usually. She is a
little on the opinionated side, and likes to think that she isn’t wrong
very often. She speaks more than one foreign language, loves most kinds
of music aside from Country-Western, and likes Captain Crunch with
Crunchberries for breakfast. Given her druthers, she would still be
sleeping at breakfast time instead of having breakfast at all.
Mark is a photographer by trade who plays the bass in multiple jazz and
rock settings, likes to read almost as much as Michelle does, and has a
thing about dead presidents. Especially Grover Cleveland. No, really.
Ask Michelle about it sometime. He even used to have a Grover Cleveland
website, and once Photoshopped Mrs. Grover Cleveland into modern
clothing riding a Harley. There was also once a Photoshopped image of
Michelle flying over a motorcycle wearing a magical elf hat instead of
a helmet, but Michelle prefers not to think about it.
Mr. Squeeeks, yes with three EEEs, is their slightly rotund cat. He
would like to point out that Michelle and Mark are also rotund and that
it was rude of them to mention his weight on the Internets
without his permission. As a cat, he has only a few hobbies:
walking on Michelle’s head while she is trying to sleep, trying to
figure out how to hide under the curtains without his tail sticking
out, and napping on Mark’s tummy. He thinks he is very ferocious, and
growls whenever people come to the door. Mr. Squeeeks is also the least
stealthy cat ever, but don’t mention it to him as he is very sensitive
about it.
Here is what they look like:
